FAIRCHEM

OLEOCHEMICALS

Oleo Chemicals are chemicals derived from Plant and Animal Fats. They are analogous to petrochemicals derived from petroleum. The formation of basic oleochemical substances like Fatty Acids, Fatty Acid Methyl Esters (FAME), Fatty Alcohols, Fatty Amines and Glycerol are by various chemical and enzymatic reactions.

FAIRCHEM OLEOCHEMICALS

Fairchem is a leading producer of Fatty Acids from natural oils and fats derived from renewable raw materials such as Soya, Sun Flower, Corn, Rice Bran, Rape etc.

The Company has over the years developed and mastered the process of manufacturing its entire product range of acceptable local and international quality from waste/by product streams of natural vegetable oils.

The Company has a State -of-the-Art Manufacturing unit, having last generation processing equipments, which was set up in 1995 in Sanand, Dist. Ahmedabad and is one of the largest processing capacities for Natural Soft Oil based Fatty acids in India.

OLEOCHEMICALS MAIN PRODUCT

The present plant capacity measured in terms of throughput of raw materials is 120,000 MTPA out of which capacity of 80,000 M.Tons is earmarked for current set of finished products.

Isostearic Acid

Isostearic acid is a branched-chain fatty acid mainly derived from vegetable oils. It is commonly used in the cosmetics, personal care, lubricants, and chemical industries because of its excellent stability and moisturizing properties.

It is a clear, oily liquid with good resistance to oxidation and low temperature. Due to its branched structure, it provides better spreadability and smooth texture, making it useful in products like creams, lotions, lipsticks, and hair conditioners.

Isostearic acid is also used as an emulsifier, dispersing agent, and lubricant additive in industrial applications. It helps improve product stability and performance in many formulations.

Industrial Applications

    1. Cosmetics and Personal Care

Isostearic acid is widely used in lipsticks, foundations, creams, lotions, sunscreens, and hair conditioners. It improves:

      1. Skin feel and smoothness
      2. Spreadability of products
      3. Moisturizing properties
      4. Stability of emulsions
    2. Lubricants and Greases

It is used in high-performance lubricants because of its good thermal stability and ability to reduce friction.

Stearic Acid

Stearic acid is one of the common saturated fatty acid having C18 linear chain. It is one of the most common fatty acid found in nature. It plays important role in skin permeability barrier along with palmitic acid and linoleic acid.

It has extensive application in the field of rubber industry, widely used in cosmetic industry, in several food, bio medical science and pharma industries. It is widely used in electrical insulations, metal coating, used in metal coating, in additives and as heat stabilizer.

Palmitic Acids

Palmitic acid is a saturated long chain fatty acid containing 16 carbon atoms. It is most common saturated fatty acid found in plants and animals. It is major component of Palm Oil but also found in meat, cheese, butter and other dairy products. Palmitic acid also plays a crucial role in metabolism and composition of cell membrane.

It has wide application in soaps and detergents, in textile manufacturing, petroleum industry, in cosmetics and also used in candle making. It is also used as feed additive.
